NFC NORTHOur Super Bowl champions will emerge from the NFC North. We said it and we are sticking to it.Detroit Lions
We were wrong last year about the Lions. In reality, we were wrong about the man head coach Dan Campbell chose to lead is offense, QB Jared Goff. We are not inclined to repeat that mistake. The Lions are the real deal. How does 12-5 sound for a season record?
Green Bay Packers
Jordan Love is one of the best stories of last season. We say he follows up last season with a record-breaking year in Green Bay and we are not talking about the $220 million contract he signed in July.
Minnesota Vikings
There are football pundits predicting the Vikings will finish dead last in the NFC North. Sam Darnold is charged with leading the offense. We say with all-world wideout Justin Jefferson catching the rock from Darnold the Vikings barely edge out the Bears for third in the division. Do you see what we did there? Barely vs Bears. Kandy humor.
Chicago Bears
Speaking of the Bears, they have high hopes in the windy city. Local Bears fans believe, foolheartedly, that Caleb Williams is the second coming of Patrick Mahomes. Newsflash, he is not. But he does have explosive offensive weapons which will ease his transition from the college game to the pros. In the long run, the question we all want to know the answer to is will he have a more accomplished professional career then Justin Fields whom they sent to Pittsburgh.
